Enrollment Process

Every student who attends a Duval County school (including magnets and charters) must be registered with Duval County. An application must be completed in order to be considered for enrollment. There are no exceptions. The processes explained below are for enrolling students in grades K-5. For information about VPK, please visit our Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten page.
Please select one of the following:

  • My child has NEVER attended a public, charter, or magnet school in Duval County.

    Before you begin, gather your documentation. You will be asked to upload either a scanned copy or a photo of the following:
    ● Birth certificate or valid evidence of date of birth.● Florida certification of immunization (Florida Form 680) or exemption. The Department of Health can transpose vaccination records from other counties and countries. Please contact them directly for assistance. ● Florida school physical. Physical must be no more than 12 months old at the time of the student’s enrollment.● Copy of Parent/Guardian’s Driver’s license or state issued ID. ● Most recent report card if entering school from another district.● Proof of Residence (refer to page 2 of the SCA Enrollment Process guide for a list of approved documents.) Important: The address on all documents must match.
    Then, follow the steps below. Note: These steps MUST be completed in order.
    1. Register your child with Duval County using the Application to Apply for Enrollment.2. Create a parent account with Duval County using the Parent Account Sign Up form. (Skip this step if you already have a parent account.)3. Link your child’s account to your parent account in OneView. (Note: after the parent account has been created, it can take up to 3 hours before you are able to link a student account.)4. Submit the Seacoast Charter Academy Enrollment Request form.

  • My child has attended a public, charter, or magnet school in Duval County.

    1. Create a parent account with Duval County using the Parent Account Sign Up form. (Skip this step if you already have a parent account.)
    2. Link your child’s account to your parent account in OneView. (Skip this step if you are already linked to your child's account. Note: after the parent account has been created, it can take up to 3 hours before you are able to link a student account.)
    3. Submit the Seacoast Charter Academy Enrollment Request form.

Controlled Open Enrollment

Controlled Open Enrollment allows a parent from any school district in the state to enroll his or her child in and transport his or her child to any public school, including charter schools, that has not reached capacity.
